Redemption Rules

To redeem your miles for tickets, make sure to have your redemption booking the earliest possible, it will increase your chance of booking a seat on the flight of your choice. Late redemption reservations may result in late booking charges for some of our members.

Members who do not have enough miles to claim the rewards, can make up the difference by purchasing Top-Up miles if they have at least half the required number of miles.  Miles can be purchased in blocks of 1000 miles at US$ 25 per 1000 miles. Top-up miles can be used for free flights or upgrades.

Also, please note that during holidays and busy periods, the availability of free flights will be restricted due to higher demand..

 

  • Redemption tickets are for fixed flights and are not re-routable or endorsable.
  • Open status tickets are not permitted.
  • There is no limit to the number of changes a Falconflyer can make to their bookings. However, the specified fee applies to each change.
 

Normal Redemptions

  • Blue tier members: ​*Till flights are open for sale in the system with no fees or additional miles to pay if booking through a Gulf Air office or Call Centre.
  • Silver tier members: *Till flights are open for sale in the system with no fees or additional miles to pay if booking through a Gulf Air office or Call Centre.
  • Gold tier members: ​*Till flights are open for sale in the system with no fees or additional miles to pay if booking through a Gulf Air office or Call Centre.
  • Black tier members: ​*Till flights are open for sale in the system with no fees or additional miles to pay if booking through a Gulf Air office or Call Centre.

Changes to ticketed redemption booking (changes to outbound or return flight, re-routing and/or change in class of travel)

  • Blue tier members: Changes can be made up to one day before travel for a fee of US$ 40 or 6,000 miles
  • Silver tier membersChanges can be made up to one day before travel for a fee of US$ 20 or 3,000 miles
  • Gold tier members: Changes can be made up to one day before travel. A fee of US$ 20 or 3,000 miles is charged for re-routing and/or change in class of travel.
    Note: No charges for date change of travel
  • Black tier members: Changes can be made up to one day before travel. A fee of US$ 10 or 1,000 miles is charged for ticket re-routing and/or change in class of travel.

Cancellations

  • Blue tier members: Must be cancelled four days before departure. A service charge of US$ 40 or 6,000 miles applies.
  • Silver tier members: Must be cancelled one day before departure. A service charge of US$ 20 or 3,000 miles applies.
  • Gold tier members: Must be cancelled at least one day before departure. A service charge of US$ 20 or 3,000 miles applies.
  • Black tier members: Must be cancelled at least one day before departure. A service charge of US$ 10 or 1,000 miles applies.

*Cancellation of redemption tickets

  • On cancellation of a redemption booking and subject to the cancellation service charges being collected, the miles will be credited back to the member's account. Taxes and surcharges will be refunded, less the cancellation charges.
  • In the case of top-up miles, cash will not be refunded but miles will be re-deposited into the member's account. - Miles will be refunded within 72 hours.
     

Note: One day is calculated as 24 hours period before departure.

No shows

The no-show timeline is calculated within 24 hours from the flight departure time.

  • If a member fails to show up for the booked flight, the ticket and all related charges will be forfeited. This applies to all Tiers.
