Eng. Samer Majali took office as the Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air on 1 August 2009. An aeronautical engineer by qualification, Mr. Majali also holds a Master’s degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the UK and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK.
In his 30 year-long career with Royal Jordanian, he has held several positions in various divisions of the company before becoming its President and Chief Executive Officer in 2001, a post he held until he joined Gulf Air.
Mr. Majali served as President of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO) and Chairman of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) board of governors until June 2009. He is also on the board of several organisations.
