Salman brings with him more than 20 years' wealth of experience, having worked extensively in the accounting and auditing field. Joining Gulf Air in November 2008, Salman, as Director of Internal Audit, forms a key part of the organization’s strategic function. He is actively moving forward to ensure applying best auditing practices within the Company and value-added recommendations are implemented.
Salman is a highly qualified and competent person. In addition to a degree in accounting, Salman is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and certificate holder in the Governance of Enterprise I, all of which are US credentials. Prior to joining Gulf Air, Salman worked for Bahrain Telecommunications Company in the Internal Audit Department for seventeen years and with Bahrain International Circuit for about three years as its Chief Internal Auditor.
Salman reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Gulf Air Board of Directors with a dotted line reporting to the CEO.
