Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated Bahrain’s National Day today at the airline’s headquarters in Muharraq. Hundreds of Gulf Air employees were greeted by the airline’s Chiefs who received Muharraq Deputy Governor Brigadier Sultan Al Sulaiti.
Brigadier Al Sulaiti planted a palm tree – a symbol rooted in Bahraini heritage – representing the giving spirit of Bahrain and its fruitful contribution to local, regional, and international communities.
Addressing attendees at this special event, Gulf Air’s Chief Operations Officer, Captain Nasser Al Salmi commented “As the Kingdom’s national carrier, Bahrain National Day is an important occasion for us and an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the close synergies between the country and the airline. On behalf of all employees, I would like to congratulate the leadership and people of Bahrain on this joyous day, and wish the Kingdom success and prosperity for the coming years.”
Gulf Air employees wore the colors of the national flag to celebrate the Kingdom’s 42nd National Day. In addition, a special cake marking the occasion was cut by Brigadier Al Sulaiti and members of the airline’s Executive Management.
Gulf Air prides itself in having a special connection with the Bahraini community, and is involved in a number of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives with a number of local organizations.
