Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air and Abacus Distribution Systems India, a subsidiary of Abacus International Asia-Pacific's leading provider of travel solutions and services, have launched a two month promotion specifically for travel agents to celebrate the airline’s 42 years of service to India.
To mark the milestone, travel agents booking Gulf Air tickets will have the opportunity to win fabulous prizes including business class tickets to anywhere on the airline’s network, exclusive Swarovski pens, iPods and gift vouchers. The travel agent promotion has commenced and will be running until the 30th of September 2013.
Mr. Abdul Hussain Abdul Rahman, Gulf Air’s Country Manager for India commented saying, “Travel agents are integral to Gulf Air’s success in India and have contributed to the airline’s growth in the country over its 42 years. Today, Gulf Air operates to four destinations in India, with 45 flights per week, a far cry from its weekly service to Delhi in 1971. Coinciding with the airline’s operational milestone, this promotion was launched to recognize and thank our trade partners for their loyalty and continued support to Gulf Air.”

Gulf Air currently operates a total of 45 weekly flights from Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai and Chennai. The airline offers convenient connectivity to the Gulf, the Middle East and Europe via Bahrain.
