Gulf Air Donates F1 Tickets to Local Charities

In preparation for the 2013 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, and being the title sponsor of this prestigious sporting event, Gulf Air donated a number of tickets to two local children’s charities.  The Dreams Society, a charity that makes the dreams of children affected by terminal illness or a debilitating disease come true and the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties, which promotes lifelong opportunity for all individuals with behavioral and communication difficulties were presented tickets to attend the 2013 Formula 1 event by the airline’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maher Salman Musallam.

Mr.  Musallam commented “As Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has always had strong ties to the local community and is always looking for ways to strengthen these. This initiative is becoming a tradition with every F1 event. I would like to  thank the representatives of the Dream Society and the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties for helping us realize our goal of reaching out to those in need, and we hope they enjoy the race.”

Dreams Society Board Member, Ms. Mariam Al Shekar and Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties Board Member Ms. Roya Baqer expressed their appreciation to Gulf Air for giving the children this opportunity to attend and enjoy the race, and hoped for continuous cooperation with the national carrier.
