Ismail Karimi brings with him over 20 years of extensive experience in Aviation and Banking sectors. Joining Gulf Air in 1994, Ismail has held various positions including the position of Chief Financial Officer in-charge of Treasury and Cash Management, Accounting, Corporate Control, Corporate Risk Management, Procurement and Logistic, Taxation and Investment, Fuel Management, Insurance and Aviation Asset Management.
Prior to joining Gulf Air, Ismail worked for Citibank, Bahrain for seven years in its various departments including heading the Software Development Unit and Treasury Risk Management.
Ismail was educated at the Saint Edwards University in Austin, Texas, where he earned a BS in Computer Science as well as a MBA Degree.
